2.en.4 . The Love of the Three Oranges.

Thanks to Bernat’s skills as a story teller and getting inspiration from Majorcan popular stories, Rondalles, in English lessons we tried to  re-tell one of them  making a short sketch ” The love of the three oranges” . We only had one day to prepare it, but the result was great and we had fun, so we might  repeat it again in a more professional way. What do you think? I feel there are good actors and actresses in 1st Year ESO E and your ability to improvise and your imagination to adapt the story was also excellent. Finally, the most important thing was that group work and cooperation   functioned.

Thanks to Pep Toni’s journalist skills, we can have a look at the recording of part of the sketch. The narrators have lost their heads during the process, but it was just the first time we did it anyway!

4th ESO B and 1st ESO E joint activity for different levels: Chaplin’outing follow up.

“Getting to know each other. New teachers for a day”

Things everyone must do during and after the lesson.

  • Speak in English
  • Introduce yourselves.
  • Interview your new teachers.
  • Take notes of your new teacher’s   answers.
  • Answer their questions.
  • Ask them questions.
  • Use your notes to write a paragraph about your new teachers .
  • List the topics  and the things you learnt.
  • Assess the activity. Copy the following items in your notebook and give  them a mark from 1 to 5 .

On Monday you will have new teachers for a day…  but I’m sure you do not know  that in the past they used to live in the Jungle, yes, in the Jungle  Book; no kidding,  and they were really wild!!!!

Here you can see  some wild monkeys!!!

and a tiger,  a tigress and many  more. Enjoy your new teachers and prepare some  questions for them.

logotip de cotxes

Uep, al•lots (i al•lotes, és clar!). Aquest trimestre “la ciutat” és el centre d’interès de moltes activitats, i per això tractam temes com els edificis, façanes, carrers, carril bici, etc. Ara us proposam un altre tema ciutadà: els automòbils. Palma és una de les ciutats europees amb més cotxes en proporció al nombre d’habitants. Doncs, bé, de moment observau els logotips de cada marca de cotxe i més envant en farem un estudi de lectura d’imatge.
Comprovau que cada marca té un escut que l’identifica. Algunes marques són simplement el llinatge del fundador (per exemple, Ford), altres vegades són acrònims (com SEAT) (per cert, què és un acrònim?), altres tenen el nom de la ciutat on hi ha la fàbrica (com Toyota), … D’on creus que va sortir el nom de Mercedes?
Ara intenta esbrinar com són els logos de BMW i d’Alfa Romeo, i indica les semblances i diferències. Bon viatge!
